STILL addresses the classic genre of the still life, with the intention of jolting and/or subverting its traditional language. In this case the backdrop has more to do with sequence in an almost performative manner. Still is also a “loop”, as there is no first or last image: the sequence is in a circle and can start or end at any point. To construct it I put together a sequence – a progression - that would go back to the beginning. It is displayed as an installation.
